Sea Lion inaugurates new distribution solutions centre worth 10 mln in Yangon

Sea Lion, a leading provider of healthcare, biomedical, life science, technical education, and industrial solutions in Myanmar, launched the new Distribution Solutions Centre (DSC) yesterday to improve supply chain efficiency and to fulfil rising and changing demands of customers.
U Phyo Min Thein, Chief Minister of Yangon Region, Dr. Myint Htwe, Union Minister for Ministry of Health and Sports, Dr. Tin Myo Win, Chairman of Union Peace Commission, Mr. John Fleming, Senior Commercial Officer of the Embassy of the United States of America, and Dr. Win Zaw Aung, Managing Director of Sea Lion Group commemorate the grand opening of the new Distribution Solutions Centre with a ribbon cutting ceremony, and then toured the facility and “Integrating Innovations for Lives” Exhibition.
The Union Minister witnessed the signing of an EOI (Expression of Interest) for 1-million-dollar Scholarship Program for Healthcare Professionals for overseas trainings, and the Chief Minister witnessed the signing of an EOI (Expression of Interest) for Cooperation on Food Safety of Food Establishments in the City of Yangon. Sea Lion also signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Biomedical Engineering Society (BES) of Singapore for Collaboration in the area of Biomedical Engineering for safety use of medical devices.
Located in Kyan Sitt Thar Industrial Zone in South Dagon township of Yangon, Sea Lion Distribution Solutions Centre spans over 6,870 square meter in a total land area of 8.7 acres (35,276 square meter).
“DSC is designed to comply with the strict requirements of Sea Lion’s global partners, local and international regulations, and the industry standards. We aim our DSC to be one of the best facilities in Myanmar that can guarantee uncompromising storage and logistics solutions for the full range of capital medical equipment and implantable medical devices, medical consumables, and pharmaceutical products,” said Dr. Win Zaw Aung, Group MD of Sea Lion.
