Signing of an Expression of Interest (EOI) between Ministry of Health and Sports and Sea Lion Group for Provision of One-million-dollar Scholarship Program and between Yangon Region Government and Sea Lion Group for Food Safety of Food Establishments Program

Sea Lion Education and Social Fund commits one-million-dollar scholarship program for healthcare professionals for overseas trainings with the signing of Expression of Interest witnessed by Union Minister for Health and Sports H.E. Dr. Myint Htwe. The signing of Expression of Interest on March 25th coincided with the inauguration of US$10 million worth Sea Lion Distribution Solutions Centre and “Integrating Innovations for Lives” exhibition. Chairman of Union Peace Commission H.E. Dr. Tin Myo Win and wife, Chief Minister of Yangon H.E. U Phyo Min Thein, former Union Minister for Health Prof. Dr. Pe Thet Khin were also present. Over 300 guests including members or parliament, officials from Ministry of Health and Sports, Yangon City Development Committee, healthcare professionals from both public and private sectors, and foreign and local business community attended the event. Yangon Region Government and Sea Lion Education and Social Fund also signed Expression of Interest for food safety program for food establishments in the City of Yangon. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Society (BES) of Signapore and Sea Lion signd Memorandum of Understanding for the collaboration in the area of biomedical engineering for safety use of medical devices.

Sea Lion Group & its global partners and DTVET, Ministry of Education signed the collaboration agreement to establish school of industrial training and education (SITE)

Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DTVET) under the Ministry of Education and Sea Lion Group signed the collaboration agreement to establish School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE) at 123 Natmauk Road in Bahan, Yangon, Myanmar.

According to the agreement, Sea Lion and its global partners will contribute more than 1.5 billion Kyats for School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE)  including master planning and detail planning of the campus, state-of-the-art training equipment, training materials and training of the trainers.

The school will offer occupational skills-based training in Industrial Automation, CNC Metal Cutting, Water and Wastewater Management, Solar and Wind Power Energies and Woodworking using the same training models in Germany and Austria, the leading countries in technical and vocational education and training.

Endowment of Training and Conference Centre at Mandalay general hospital

 

Sea Lion Group bestowed the Training and Conference Centre at Mandalay General Hospital in 24 June 2017 with the aim of facilitating a venue for professionals developing skills in public healthcare services at the cost of over 210 million kyats. The Training and Conference Centre includes a 200-persons capacity auditorium equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment and safety features.


Endowment of Training Centre at Yangon General Hospital (YGH)

Sea Lion Co Ltd bestowed the Training Centre facility at Yangon General Hospital in January 2014 with the aim of facilitating a venue for professionals developing skills in public healthcare services at the cost of US$ 210,000. The Training Centre includes a 120-persons capacity auditorium equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment.

 

Corporate educational responsibility
