SEA LION receives prestigious ASEAN Business Awards 2019 ASEAN Winner - Skills Development -  Large-Tier

November 2, 2019 (Yangon)    - SEA LION represented by Group CEO Dr. Win Zaw Aung received ASEAN Business Awards 2019 ASEAN Winner - Skills Development (Large-Tier) at ASEAN Business Awards Gala Dinner on November 2, 2019 at the sidelines of 35th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok, Thailand.

SEA LION is recognized in new Skills Development Category of Prestigious ASEAN Business Award for the major investment the company has contributed to the human capital development in technical education and healthcare professionals training. SEA LION organized its network of global leading players in technical education that jointly invested over 1.2 million USD in the establishment of the School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE) in collaboration with the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training under the Ministry of Education. SITE has narrowed the skills gap in value-added manufacturing industry by providing intensive hands-on practical skills training much sought after by foreign and local investors in Myanmar. SEA LION has continued to devote for the long-term sustainability of SITE, for meeting the fast changing demands of the industry and for the continuation of high quality training. SEA LION also contributed training centre facilities equipped with modern furniture and audio-visual equipment in Yangon General Hospital and Mandalay General Hospital for supporting and advancing human resource development for healthcare professionals.
